The Story Behind Neat Niqi: How One Closet Changed Everything

I’ve always had a knack for organizing. Ever since I can remember, I’ve loved helping people tidy up their spaces, sort through clutter, and bring order to chaos. I started small—making little notes, helping friends, even guiding others—and eventually realized there was something called a professional organizer, a role dedicated entirely to helping people declutter and simplify their lives.

Curious, I researched, helped friends, and completed courses to refine my skills. As TD Jakes says, “Do something that doesn’t exist yet.” I couldn’t find a professional organizer in Potchefstroom, and that gap inspired me to start my own business.

In 2023, on my 41st birthday, I landed my very first client as a professional organizer—and that’s when Neat Niqi was born. While the business is still small, I already see the real difference it can make in people’s lives. I’ve learned that even organizing just one closet can:
  • Save time by knowing exactly where things are

  • Save money by avoiding duplicate purchases

  • Improve mental well-being by letting go of old, unnecessary items

  • Create a calmer, more functional living space

I’m also highly sensory-sensitive, which means textures, clutter, and disorganization affect me deeply. Yet, while helping clients tackle messy spaces, I often find myself thinking: “I am having the time of my life.” This is how I know I’m in the right industry.
Through Neat Niqi, I help people not just organize their homes, but also experience freedom and peace in their spaces. It’s incredible how decluttering can transform both a room and a mindset—and I’m here to guide every client through that journey.
